In 2002, God graciously provided three acres of land with the help of the mission organization Christ for the World, in Orlando, Florida, USA where we established Light of Hope Learning Center (LHLC). Beginning in 2003, the administrative block, chapel, and hostel blocks were added.
LHLC offers a one-year Bachelors degree program in Theology, effective June 2003, to youngsters from villages who are neither eligible to study nor able to pay their tuition in any established seminaries. The course is residential and we offer free boarding and lodging facilities to the students. Four groups of students have passed out of our portals with dedication to serve the Lord and the classes for the fifth group have commenced effective July, 2008.
Goals of LHLC
-
•Educate Christian workers to correctly understand and soundly apply the Word of God.
-
•Equip them as able servants for the ministry.
-
•Produce evangelists to spread the gospel to all nations.
Activities of LHLC
-
•The students of LHLC not only learn the Word of God but also get trained to be involved in ministry. They visit eight neighboring villages on a regular basis and share the gospel to the children through songs, skits, film shows and the like. They also extend prayer support and counseling to the elders.
-
•During the summer, VBS is conducted in these villages and it is a great experience for the students of LHLC and a great joy for the children and their parents.
-
•We are involved in the transformation of these villages by providing free tuition to the school children and also giving uniforms and dresses to the poor children. It is our plan to conduct social awareness campaigns, medical and eye camps in these villages.
